What is a Service Dog?
A service dog is defined by the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) as a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability--including a physical, sensory, developmental, psychiatric, intellectual, or other disability.
What Qualifies for a Service Dog?
If you have a condition or impairment that has altered your independence in life to a point where you need more assistance, a service dog may be a good fit for you.
